Services of Dedication
Organ or Piano

The following dedication is by the Reverend Jeff Shrowder of Sunraysia Parish, the Uniting Church in Australia. Jeff maintains a RCL related website (featuring Psalm translations and paraphrases and hymn selections for Sundays at http://thebillabong.info.

DEDICATION OF ORGAN (or Piano)

This dedication was done in a small rural church. The purchase of the
instrument, as is so often the case, was made possible by several bequests.

L It is good to give thanks to the LORD,

P     To sing praises to your name, O Most High;

L To declare your steadfast love in the morning,

P And your faithfulness by night,

L To the music of the lute and the harp,

P To the melody of the lyre.

L     For you, O LORD, have made me glad by your work;

P at the works of your hands I sing for joy. (Ps. 92:1-4)

L Eternal, caring God, creator of all,
      we give you thanks;

P Your love, O Lord, is everlasting.

L For the freedom we enjoy to worship you

P With joyful hearts we thank you, O Lord.

L For the faithfulness of the saints
      who have gone before us;
      for their generosity of spirit
      which built up this community of faith;

P With joyful hearts we thank you, O Lord.
      Remembering their faithfulness,
      and honouring their generosity,
      we dedicate this organ
      to your worship and praise,
      and the glory of your name,
      O Lord our God,
      Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen
