Kimberley Nature Park
Management Planning Process

November, 2003

In 2001, the provincial government granted the City of Kimberley a License of Occupation over the Kimberley Nature Park.  The terms of that License require the City to develop a long-term management plan for the Park. The City asked the Kimberley Nature Park Society (KNPS) to take the lead role in developing the plan and Society members, Kent Goodwin, David Hale, Jessica Hawkins, John Henly, Anita Iacobucci, Peter Moody, and Struan Robertson volunteered to facilitate its development.

After a more than a year of hard work which included numerous drafts and redrafts as well as extensive public consultation the final version of the Plan has been accepted by the City and forwarded to the Province.  The plan will be reviewed annually by the City and the KNPS and will be updated every three years.
