Myrtle Mountain
The eastern end of the top of Myrtle Mountain is an undulating landscape of open forest with great views to the south and east. On a clear day one can view the Rocky Mountains and Rocky Mountain Trench as well as the St. Mary's River valley and Marysville. |
The east end of Myrtle Mountain is a dry and thin soiled environment dominated by small Douglas Fir trees with the occasional Western Larch or Ponderosa Pine. Clumps of juniper are common separated by scattered grasses and sometimes thick patches of nodding onions. |
