Four Corners

Four Corners is an opening in the forest between Myrtle Mountain and North Star Mountain where four important Nature Park Trails join together. (There is actually a fifth trail, Richardson's Sidehill which climbs steeply from this spot up to the Nordic Ski trails.) Four Corners lies beside Whitetail Creek and the Upper and Lower Army Roads head back to the East, Duck Pond Trail crosses the creek on a small footbridge to the south and the main Army Road heads west up Whitetail Valley.

Myrtle Mountain was the site of one of Kimberley's early ski hills and the first Kimberley Ski Lodge was located here at its base. It is now a great place for hikers and bikers, and classes of school kids to stop and rest and plan the next leg of their journey.

We don't have many winter pictures of the Nature Park on this site. This is the bottom end of Richardson's Sidehill trail at Four Corners. It is a fairly steep climb from here to the Kimberley Nordic Ski trails.
